Snohomish Bamboo Kitchen

This beautiful house in Snohomish was in need of a fresh update of their original kitchen. The homeowners wanted something modern but warm and decided to do a bamboo style look. It gives the perfect modern PNW feel by staying rich in texture and blending into the rest of the house seamlessly.

We went with Hertco cabinets with their natural bamboo line, and updated the layout while maintaining the footprint of the space. We built the fridge into the island workspace, relocated and updated the range, and built a cabinet that holds a microwave oven combo.

The space feels very modernised with slab cabinets, and stainless steel hardware and appliances. The area is still warm and welcoming with bamboo texture and rich brown and black countertop. The flooring and trim was also updated throughout the kitchen and surrounding living space. We even removed a brick fireplace in the living room next to the kitchen, making the whole space feel like whole new house.

The homeowner opted to go with PentalQuart's Java Noir countertop, a dark rich black and brown surface with light cream vaining throughout. It gives a beautiful contrast to the bamboo texutre.	Little details added to this kitchen included an instant hot water spout and a under counter soap dispenser to help create a uniform look without extra clutter near the sink.	We opened up the passthrough between the kitchen and formal dining room to allow more natural light pass though the space. Now it is perfect for entertaining in any part of their home!
All of the appliances, plumbing trim, and accesories were updated to stainless steel. Simple modern lines give the space a sleek look.	This custom built wine rack was built to maintain the modern streamline look of the kitchen and giving a unique look to the space.	We designed this cabinet to open from the side to give easy access to glasses and other accessories for hosting get togethers in the living room.
The homeowner picked a beautiful glass mosaic tile to blend the paint, cabinets, and countertops together. This is Lunada Bay's Sumi series in the Morioka color with a silk finish.	This accent wall color helps add warmth to the whole house, and helps blend the space into the kitchen.	Unique edge details are found on bamboo cabinets, due to the nature of the product and how it is made.
While we maintained the footprint of the space, we were able to add a lot more storage into this area.
