Camano Island Bathroom

This beautiful master bathroom was updated to give a more coastal feel. Located on Camano Island, the homeowners wanted to upgrade their master bath to fit their needs while creating a more welcoming space to relax.

The shower was a big upgrade in style by increasing the footprint, using a frameless glass system, and a linear drain. The homeowners opted for a pebble tile for the floor to give a spa-like feel, which carried into the niche wall above the bench for storage of bath supplies. The countertop was used in the shower bench to give the space a cohesive look.

Due to the shape of the room, special care went into the design of the cabinets, molding, and wainscoting in the room. The wainscoting is the same shade as the cabinets, which go with the tile in the shower. The countertop is used on the vanity, shower bench, window sill, and pony wall.

While functionally nothing was wrong with this bathroom, it did not match the aesthetic of the homeowners and was in need of an update.

The location of the toilet, shower, tub, and vanity were all kept the same. However, by making the tub a freestanding tub and the shower frameless, we were able to make the space feel much larger. We also were able to increase the space by the toilet, and add more storage on the vanity.

This beautiful bathroom has DeWils cabinets in Fashion Grey, #205PL. The style is called Calypso, it's louver door style giving a beautiful coastal feel to the room.	We used Sherwin Williams to custom color match the wainscotting paint to the cabinet color.	This is Cambria's quartz in Summerhill. This quartz has beautiful dimension with veining and sparkle that catches your eye. You can find the whole bathroom color palette in this countertop!
The shiplap style wainscotting wraps around the room. Special attention to detail was made to ends where the wainscotting ended to give a finished look.	This is Kohler's Tresham Comfort Height toilet. It has beautiful details that go with the wainscoting molding that wraps around the toilet space. You can see a night light that was installed right below the toilet paper holder.	Detail of the cabinet on the vanity, this added lots of storage for extra towels and other items without having to have items out on the counter top.
The Delta Two Handle Widespread Cassidy Faucet was chosen for the cross handles that complement the tub filler selected. They were installed on a Gerber Logan Square Bathroom Sink, which has edge details that complement the toilet and wainscoting.	A shower bench was able to be added in the larger shower space. A hand shower allows for use of the bench and also easy cleaning of the shower walls. The cubby uses the same floor tile as an accent. The fixtures were chosen to complement the beautiful tub filler adjacent to the shower.	Pebble tile was used in the shower. Not only does it look nice, it feels great too! It is Island Pebbles in Swarthy black.
Chrome was the choice of metal for the bathroom fixtures. It is timeless and allows for mixing of different brands easily without fear of materials not matching.	Under these beautiful large size tiles is a floor heating system. This is a programmable system that can be adjusted to fit your schedule. It feels so nice to walk on, and can also double as a heat source for your space.	Even though the shower now takes more room, the space feels much lighter due to the removal of framed glass shower system. Your line of site isn't broken with bulky brass, and the glass and tile reflect light to make the space feel bright and airy.
Special care and attention to detail needed to be made for this wall above the vanity. The angle was matched to the molding to make it flush with the wall.	Countertops can fit all shapes and sizes, such as this dog eared piece custom made for the windowsill.	Small details are what makes a good bathroom remodel into a great bathroom remodel. One detail is the counter top material used to wrap around the window above the tub. Quality plumbing fixtures act as the finishing touch to a space, adding sparkle and interest.
A pony wall separates the toilet and tub areas. It was wrapped with the wainscoting throughout the room, and then capped with the countertop material making it almost like a piece of furniture. The homeowners love their new tub, stating how roomy and comfortable it is. The angle of the sides are just right for relaxing.
This stunning tub filler is Riobel's GN06+ tub filler with a hand shower. It has a lot of character with the cross handle knobs and hand shower holder. We picked the rest of the plumbing fixtures to complement this showstopper!	The homeowners loved their heated towel rack, which went with the space even better after the remodel!
