Our Process

Meet and Greet

The first step is to set up an appointment at your home to meet with you. We explain our process, answer questions, and get a feel of the space you want to remodel.

Design Retainer

After collecting a design retainer we will create a design proposal for your project. This will show you the material and labor costs of what your project would be based on the scope of work of your project and the materials you select. You will also receive a full set of plans that show your space as it is and the proposed layout with all required drawings for permitting as needed. Once payment is received, you will have access to your online portal, where you can view the schedule and easily communicate with our team.

Every design project gets a full set of site drawings including demo, plumbing, and electrical.

Measurements and Questionnaire

The first step in the design process is measuring and photographing the space you wish to remodel. We may require measuring different levels of your home for structural changes in your project, such as removing walls. We will also leave with you a questionnaire worksheet for you to work on that will help us gather information on how you want the space to be designed to help us learn your needs and style.

3D Rendered Drawings

The next step is to create your current space in a 3D rendering. We then can develop different layout options that you can see in 3D, to help you decide the best option for your space. We use Chief Architect to render our drawings, a powerful program that allows us to easily move and alter the drawings to show you different layouts and styles.

Once a new layout has been decided, we can then take the information that we have gathered to start making the layout look like your style preferences. You can see what different color cabinets, countertop, and flooring would look like and help start to get an idea of what materials to look for.

Material Selection

Based on your style and budget we are able to help guide you to material selections. We help you select flooring, countertops, tile, cabinetry, etc. We have access to many showrooms to view tile, countertops, and plumbing fixtures so that you can see and feel the materials in person.

Completed Proposal

Once the layout has been selected, and materials are chosen, we are able to create the final completed proposal and review it with you. This lists all costs, so you will know exactly what you will pay for your remodel. If you find after working with us that you aren’t ready for your project, or if you are more of the DIY type, you will still receive the design proposal with all the material details including site drawings.

Signing Contract

Once you receive the completed proposal and are ready for construction, you are ready to sign your contract. Once we receive signed documents we can start the pre-construction process such as applying for permits as needed, putting you on the schedule for your project, start ordering materials that have long lead times, and notify our subcontractors.

Construction

With the online portal, you will be able to see the schedule for each step of your project laid out. We will keep you updated with your project with messages, photos, and meet with you as needed.
